Managing your Images within the CMS

You can manage all of your images within the CMS. To access your gallery navigate to the 'Images' section in the sidebar menu. All of the images that have been uploaded during the content population will be stored inside your image gallery.

    Adding images

Now that you are familiar with module population, you might be thinking why do I need to add images directly to the gallery if they get saved there when I upload them to the module I'm working on? Well, the answer is simplicity and convenience. For instance, if you have a full folder of images that you will be using to populate the site, you can add them all in bulk. So when you are doing the population, you can save time by choosing the correct image from the list.

To add your images, click browse and select the image you want to upload. For bulk uploads, when selecting your images keep hold of Ctrl so it highlights multiple items and they will be uploaded altogether.

    Replacing images

To replace an image inside your gallery, just follow those simple steps.
The process of replacing an image involves uploading a new one in place of the old one. Identify the image that needs replacing and ensure that the image you are uploading has the same file name.
    1. Tick 'Replace this image?' box
    2. Click Browse

    3. Select your image and click open.
    4. The image you have just uploaded will now be in place of the old one.

    Deleting images

To delete your images, simply click delete and confirm that you want that selected image erased.

You will then get a notification confirming the deletion as the final step of the process.

    Compressing images

To ensure your images do not slow down your site, you should always compress large image files before uploading them to the CMS. To do this, you can use an external image compressor such as TinyPNG
