How to add a new job listing to your site
To manually add a new job listing, navigate to the jobs section and click the red '+Add' button, this will open an 'add job' page ready for you to populate.
Reference - This will be a unique identifier for each job, the system supports both letters and numbers so you have flexibility with the naming convention. Additionally, the reference number will be used to attach all the relevant information like candidates and consultants to that job within the system.
Title - Title of the role or vacancy.
Description - This field is equipped with a rich text editor which allows you to be creative with the job description and make it more appealing to the end-user.
Post Date - The date on which the listing has been posted. The post date is also used to sort the jobs on your feed, the newly added ones being at the top.
Max and Min Salary - You can leave the salary ranges blank if you wish to not disclose that information. The ranges are primarily used for the filters on the job listings page.
Salary Text - Here you can provide additional information such as benefits, or if you are not disclosing the salary, you can simply put 'Competitive' or 'Negotiable'.
Salary Currency - If you also advertise vacancies overseas, you might want to specify which currency the salary is paid in, which makes it more user friendly for the end-user.
Location - Where the vacancy is based.
Job Type - There are many job types, permanent, contract, part-time etc. - the drop-down list will depend on the types of jobs you advertise.
Sector - Industry or technical field of the vacancy.
Email - You will notice that the drop-down specifies to select a consultant, meaning that by selecting a consultant's email you are linking their profile to this specific vacancy.
Application Email - This will be the email address to which the applications get sent to. If you have an application tracking system account, you can input the email linked to that account, allowing you to keep all your applications together and in one place.
Expiry Date - The date on which the vacancy expires. The date is by default pre-populated with a future date. If you don't have a specific expiry date for the vacancy, the system will mark it as finished after 30 days by default.
Styling and formatting
When you are populating your job descriptions, you’ll likely copy and paste from a document such as Word or Google Docs. When doing this, it’s important to remember to strip your text of styling before pasting it into the rich text editor. This will ensure that your text looks as intended on the front end of the site.
To do this, you’ll need to remove the formatting. The best way to do this is by pressing CTRL + Shift + V to paste without formatting when copying it over to Recruit, CMS, or Media Hub. This will strip the text back into its rawest form to allow you to add the stylings that you wish. You'll then need to format H1s, H2s, and more within the text editor using the drop-down options.
Adding a job for a Client Microsite
If you have a client microsite, you will see an additional field when populating your job data. This field must be filled in to ensure your jobs display properly on your microsites.
The 'Partner Company' field allows you to select the correct microsite on which the job will be displayed. When we build your Microsite we will add to this list, allowing you to effectively add jobs.
If your jobs are automatically pulled through via an external job board, you must still ensure this field is completed if you want the jobs to display on your microsite.
