Image Alt Tags

Image alt tags are great for both accessibility and SEO, they give textual context to screen readers and search engines about the subject of your image. 

There are two ways to update alt tags in the CMS, the first is within the Image Gallery. 

Each image has a button to edit the alt tags, clicking this will open an image details panel where the text can be added. 

The second option for adding and editing alt tags, is within the modules where image fields exist. Anywhere the image upload field is shown will also include the alt text input. 

Alt tags are set against an image globally so editing them in the module will also change the text in the image gallery and vice versa. Once alt tag text has been added, the page or site can be published, and the data will be included inside the <img> tag.
